Elevated Indulgence

1. Why Feed Animal Parts? The Benefits

Dental Health: Furry ears/tails act like natural floss + toothbrush. The fur scrapes plaque.

Mental Enrichment: Chewing is calming + burns energy. Novel textures keep dogs busy.

  Nutrient Boost

○  Bunny ears: Low fat, high protein, glucosamine for joints

○  Tails/feet: Natural collagen + chondroitin

○  Hearts: Taurine-rich muscle meat, great for heart health

○  Lungs: Lean, low-calorie training treat, iron + protein

Allergy Friendly: Novel proteins like rabbit/duck help dogs with chicken/beef sensitivities

All Natural: Single-ingredient, no fillers or preservatives like many commercial chews

Introduce Slowly: Too much organ meat = upset stomach. Start with 1 new item per 3-4 days.

4. How Much to Feed: The Math Without Stress

The 10% Rule: Treats/chews/add-ins should be ≤10% of daily calories. Rest is balanced meals.

Organ Meat Rule: Organs = max 5% of diet if feeding raw. Heart/gizzard count as muscle meat, not organ.

  Example: 50lb dog eating 1000 cal/day = 100 cal max in extras. 1 dehydrated bunny ear ≈ 30 cal.

Poop Watch: Too rich = loose stool. White/chalky = too much bone. Fur in stool = normal for furry chews.

5. New Customer Starter Plan: Week 1-2

1.  Day 1-3: One small dehydrated lung or ½ bunny ear. Supervise 10 min, then trade for meal.

2.  Day 4-6: If poop is solid, try freeze-dried heart pieces as training treats.

3.  Week 2: Introduce trachea or duck foot. Always after a meal so they’re not ravenous.

4.  Build Up: After 2 weeks of good tolerance, you can rotate 2-3 different parts per week.

6. Common “Ew” Questions Answered

“Will the fur make them sick?” Nope! Fur acts as fiber. You’ll see it in their poop - that means it’s cleaning them out.

“What if they swallow it whole?” Choose bigger sizes + supervise. You can also rehydrate chews to make them less of a choke risk.

“Why does my dog’s poop look weird?” Dark/black from fur or blood in organs = normal. White/chalky = too much bone. Runny = slow down.

“Storage?” Air-dried: pantry 6+ months. Freeze-dried: same. Raw: freezer, thaw in fridge. If it smells rancid, toss it.

“My dog won’t touch it” Try smearing with peanut butter, rehydrating with bone broth, or starting with freeze-dried lung - it’s like dog potato chips.

7. Red Flags: When to Stop & Call Vet

  Choking, gagging that doesn’t resolve

  Vomiting/diarrhea >24hrs after new chew

Lethargy, bloated abdomen, straining to poop

Broken teeth - if you hear cracking, item is too hard

A beginner’s guide to rabbit, pig, goat, chicken & beef chews for happy, healthy dogs

1. Why Your Dog Will Love These Parts

Feeding animal parts isn’t weird — it’s what dogs are built for. Every ear, tail, heart, and foot we sell is single-ingredient and air-dried, freeze-dried, or raw, with no junk added.

Key wins: cleaner teeth, calmer brain, joint support, protein rotation for allergy dogs, and crazy high-value rewards.

2. Safety Basics: Read This First

Supervise every chew until you know your dog’s style. No “walk away” chews for beginners.

Go bigger than their muzzle to prevent gulping. Trade for a high-value treat when it gets to 2” left.

Introduce one new item every 3-4 days to watch for tummy upset.

  Know your chewer

○  Gulpers: Start with furry rabbit ears, puffy lungs, or chicken feet. Freeze for extra work.

○  Shredders: They’ll love dissecting furry ears & goat tails.

○  Power Chewers: Skip cooked bones. Stick to air-dried parts + raw recreational bones once you’re confident.

NEVER feed cooked bones. Our chicken feet are dehydrated, not cooked — that keeps them safe & crunchy.

Storage: Air-dried = pantry 6+ months. Raw = freezer, thaw in fridge 24hrs. If it smells “off,” toss it.
